Weekly Update - A Punk’s Body

Sorry for the radio silence this past week, but really, nothing of importance was happening. On that note, let me know if you’d rather have an empty weekly update post instead of me skipping the week entirely. Perhaps you think I gave up on Peach Punch if I skip a week? If it makes you nervous and you’d rather have the reassurance of a weekly update, regardless of if I have interesting content to talk about or not, tell me. It might be a bad habit of mine to leave all of you guys in the dark.

The character sprite for new girl Junko has been delivered by artist Chayon. It arrives at a much later date than initially anticipated, so it will make it tricky to make a build of Don’t Flex On Me Yumi-Chan!!! for December, as was originally planned.

Would you guys be alright with a new Yumi-Chan build WITHOUT a new CG Scene? Just the new character? If not, I still have a Plan B I’ve been slowly working on, and might arrive as a last-minute Christmas Miracle. We’ll see.

Junko looks sensational, as we’ve come to expect from Chayon. I’m using an incomplete version of the art for this post, as I am posting from my phone today and that’s all I’ve got, so you’ll have to wait a little more to see her full face. But something tells me you’re seeing more than enough for Junko to leave a strong first impression.

As explained before, Junko is an ex-gymnast, so she has a smaller, lighter body than the other girls, with most of her strength concentrated on her lower body. She’s a bratty punk with a sharp tongue, capable of destroying her ideological enemies both intellectually AND physically. I can’t wait for you to meet her. A short fireball of a woman, that one.

Otherwise, I’ve spent my time waiting for new art while working on a secret project, in case I couldn’t deliver on any of my ‘main’ projects for December, and it looks like I was right in doing so.

It’s something that’s been on my mind for a loooong time, and since I’m getting more and more comfortable with Ren’Py, I think it’s time to give this idea its chance to shine. I think you’ll be pleased with where my time and effort has gone so far.

And that’s it. A lot of nothing, for now, but I am glad I have at least some art to show for it. Time is flying real fast these days, what with Christmas coming up and all the gift shopping and planning, so it’s good to take some time, sit down and enjoy living in the moment. Make sure you do that, okay?
