Comic Drake on Fight-Man (Youtube Video)

The interview I did about Fight-Man was used for this video...about Fight-Man (duh). It was weird seeing an old, obscure comic (three old, obscure comics, actually) being discussed in some detail.

The video jumps to a few conclusions -- the main one being that Fight-Man's low sales ruined my chances at a Marvel superhero career, which isn't the case at all. I left Marvel to concentrate on my own indy stuff (and protest their PR guy shitting on indy comics at retailer meetings). I was really busy in the 90s and could afford to not be doing mainstream comics full-time (or at any time). I never seriously pursued the Marvel/DC path, and when I did work for the companies, I tended to sneak around and do little things for anthologies and special projects as well as stuff no one was paying attention to (Startling Stories: The Thing, Superman Adventures, Agent X).

Other than that and a few small things I already forgot (and, of course, Sarah's name is "Dyer" and not "Dwyer", I don't understand why that happens so often), I enjoyed seeing the video, and the similarities between the Hooded Eye plotline in Fight-Man and the Red Hood stuff was certainly an eye-opener (har har). It's nice when people find out about your old work, even nicer when it leads them to checking out your other projects.

Might be Kieron Dwyers fault.

Bendrix

The fella's name really is Drake, he can't help it if he has the same name as that guy from Toronto (if that's what's the issue!)

Evan Dorkin

The title dissuaded me, but now I might watch it.
