Update: Regular Transmissions Will Resume Shortly

The run-up to the holidays was actually really swell, but Christmas and New Year's Eve were both a bust, I was in bed beneath the covers and under the weather much of the week. Got a lot of comics reading done (The Eternaut, Little Orphan Annie vol 1-5, Search and Destroy vol 3, the latest Juni Ito) and a lot of sleep. We also had a situation that required the fire department to swing by, but the less said about that, the better. All's well, move along, nothing to see here and all that.

Welcome To Eltingville Storyboards (Act 1, pgs 24-31, 38-46)

This storyboard segment brings us to the end of the D&D cold opening sequence.

And I mean cold, because it's the freeze spell scene. I hate freeze spells!

This was the only sequence that had a major revision. Originally the script called for Lord Atrocity to attack Sir Pete with a tentacled brain monster that he created with his sorcerer's staff. The monster was supposed to chew Pete up and spit his severed out at his comrades. We ran into a time constraint, and the scene nee...

Scanning...Scanning...

After some confusion (on my part) and several mistakes (ditto), almost everything in the new office equipment set-up is complete and operating. On the downside, while everthing is on the up-and-up, I don't know how a lot of the new stuff actually works. It's been about ten eyars since I had a new computer, and I'll be darned if I can't save anything as a jpeg any longer. I guess jpegs aren't cool anymore. Or haven't been for some time. So I'm super confused about how to scan stuff, because I ...

Ask Me Anything

When in doubt, AMA. I don't have a good idea for a post while I'm waiting for the scanner and printer (supposedly arriving today). So, why not do an AMA post? Exactly.

Ask away, if you care to!

Office Hi-Jinx

So the new computer and monitor are working fine, which is great, and I'm very grateful. For the first time in years my computer isn't crashing and freezing up every few hours (or more), and the screen isn't blurry. This will obviously help me a lot in getting things done from scripting to posting here. The only "problem" is that my printer and scanner are too old to work with the set up. The printer is a complete no-go and the scanner is recognized but all fouled up because it's an old 2-in-...

Sorry For The Radio Silence

Things are nuts, I'm in over my head with what I will call administrative duties. Meaning, a lot of stuff that's work-related but doesn't produce art or writing. Zoom meetings, paperwork, answering e-mails, approving things, etc. Also, we're replacing two computers and my phone and that's eaten up a lot of time. I haven't been able to answer social media DMs and I'm backed up on everything. Today I have to start on some revisions on the "Death Groove" script for Oni. Hopefully I won't have to...
