They forgot to credit Sarah with me on the cover in the solicitation, I'm going to have to write my editors and make sure she's credited in the actual comic. It will be nice to have something new out there in print after such a long stretch.

2024-04-03 04:50:32 +0000 UTCThe vampires have a pretty wild design by artist David Rubin, and they all vary in head shapes and how the ears and eyes are developed on each creature. To be honest, I didn't have a ton of good reference when I drew this, so I riffed on what I had and there's some of Jack Cole's "The Claw" character in the main figure (the cover is based on a Cole comic from the 40s). I just tried to vary them up and have fun with them. I knew they weren't super on model but I'm trying not to be so uptight about that sort of thing. You're hired for your style, not to ape another artist or perfectly capture their characters.
