As she pointed out, I goofed up the braces -- there's no way they could get stuck that way. And she's right! I'm a poser, apologies to you all. ha ha. Ughhh!
I'm very happy with how this came out. Well, mostly. On my end of things, I think the pose got stiffened up in the final, probably should have lifted the right arm up higher, off the leg, and extended the left leg out more to liven things up. Maybe worked smaller to feel like I could open the posture up a bit more, loosen the figure up and make it more active-looking. But I think I did an overall good job. Originally there were other fly strips hanging down but I left them out -- leaving things out being a rare choice for me -- because I felt they were distracting. It looks fun (I think) and that's a main goal for me, along with (hopefully) looking good on the shop shelf and maybe catching the eye. You have to remember you're here to try to help sell the comic.
Anyway, two more covers to go and then back on commissions. And Beasts of Burden. And...oh, I guess that's it after that. Everything else is up in the air. Like a lost, wobbly drone.
If you see this before 2023 bleeds out, I hope you have a Happy New year, and that 2024 is less cruel to everyone. Same thing if you see it afterward, of course. Anyway, here's to hoping.
And thanks, as always, for being here and supporting what I do.
