Ask Me Anything

It's been a while since I did one of these. So, fire away. Within reason, of course.

My drawing/typing hand is currently up on blocks for extended periods of time (earliest doctor's appointment I could get is June 8th), so, replies might be slow in coming, if there's a decent number of responses.

Hope everyone's having a decent holiday. Thanks for sticking with me here during a fallow month of posting. Will try to make up for it as soon as I can.

Okay, on the whole. Sarah's still dealing with issues post-cancer, post-operation/treatment. Things haven't been easy for anyone here, day at a time.

I don't know about reworking Eltingville for a teen audience. These days a teen audience is an adult audience in many ways. Eltingville wasn't super-adult, it was made before the Swim settled on an approach to how far they were willing to push language and material. So Eltingville was kind of neutral, we were held back in many ways in adapting the comics. Anyway, I don't think I could work on any Eltingville project directly, comics or an adaptation. I ended it for a reason, it had more life to it than I ever expected when it was juts a one-off story. And pop culture caught up and overtook me and my work pretty much. As far as fan art goes, I'm happy to see it. It lets me know I'm alive, or at least my work is, it's nice to see someone remembers.

ok i have a question now- something I remember is that the cartoon network show "regular show" was meant to be for adult swim, but it was re-tooled to air on cartoon network because the network wanted to attract a teen audience. If CN needed a new show for teens, would you want to recreate the Eltingville pilot with a younger demographic in mind, or do you think something like that wouldn't be possible? I'm asking this because I like to imagine a little ipad baby watching Eltingville on their mom's phone, hearing Bill Dickey say crap, and seeing their mouth go agape with shock and horror. That's the funniest thing in the world to me. Edit: I'm sorry for adding to this, I know this is long but- if someone makes fan art or fan works of your characters, do you like being @'ed, or would you prefer to be left alone?
