From a few years back, based on the Jack Kirby original, obviously (inks attributed to Vince Colletta, lettering by Sam Rosen, and Stan Goldberg's is credited but I'm not sure if he contributed inks or --?). I found the finished inks on my computer, if the pencils are repetitive my apologies, I can't tell if there are any substantive differences or not, but it's not hurting anyone to just post all the pencil files I found.
A fun if time-consuming commission, not that the customer asked for endless detailing and textures. I just kind of kept drawing.
This is a fun FF arc, with the introduction of Gorgon and the face turn for (Madame) Medusa leading to the Inhumans/Attilan reveal, and then you get the Galactus and Surfer arc after they clear things up with Dragon Man and Maximus. And then the Black Panther, iirc. Whoosh. Hot damn, this era of FF is just top tier Silver Age superhero stuff. Still one of my favorite comic runs, if not overall favorite of it's kind. Endlessly rich, creative and fanciful, with many of Marvel's best characters showing up in the pages. And Dragon Man is one of those characters I'm just super-fond of so I was glad to get a chance to draw the guy.
I should try to see if the inks are scanned on the hard drive of doom that we still need to unlock, I will post that as a print for the print-level backers. We really need to crack the case on the hard drive/old dead computer situation, there's a lot of files in there we need to get to for Teepublic shirt designs and Patreon posts.
All right, hope you like the FF process stuff here. I'm dealing with some side effects from my second Pfizer vaccine so I'm cutting the nostalgia thoughts short here. Be back with more, soon. Hope everyone's well.
