Paul Yellovich and I recorded a 13th episode of our horror movie podcast.
We discussed the Friday The 13th franchise and the 6-hour Crystal Lake Memories documentary (which we both enjoyed a lot more than any of the actual movies).
Neither of us is a Friday the 13th fan, but for some reason -- I don't think we necessarily got it nailed down in the episode --we both find the franchise and it's bizarre lapses in continuity and plot logic fascinating to go over while picking through the corpses. Besides the conceptual shenanigans and lack of the IP holders knowing what to really do with the series (see 5, Jason Goes to Hell and X for the, er, uh, grossest examples of blind-leading-the-clueless WTFuckery). Production issues, high talent and creative turnover, too many cooks and very few chefs and eventually spinning its wheels waiting for Freddy Krueger to ask Jason to the prom.
We had fun talking about a bunch of movies we don't like, the one or two we think are actually decent, and the "game of telephone" feel of the entire stumbling, shambling series that seemed as unkillable as it was illogical until corporate lawyers showed up at Campy Crystal Lake (the IP has been in limbo for years due to legal battles, obviously Jason will live again for more "final" installments and new "beginnings").

Listen while you ink,.
Or listen while you drink.
P.S. Tomorrow we're doing a livestream video hangout for people who are bummed about this Halloween being a suckfest. Among other things.
