Furrjoi Hoods

Oh gosh they’re good.

For those who don’t know, Furrjoi recently released a series of silicone hoods that very much follow the drone toy vibe that artists such as Qundium have been drawing for ages.

They’re very much a fantasy item come true!

I was fortunate enough that Furrjoi DM’ed me to ask if I would partner up to showcase these creations and I was more than happy to. I’ve had gear creators reach out before but I usually decline them because they just don’t match what we’re creating here but these… these hoods are just p e r f e c t.

It should be noted, them being made of silicone means they have certain advantages but also certain disadvantages. They are so easy to put on, they’re a one-size fits all and they’re really good for just having fun with. It also turns out though, as a lot of people are discovering for the first time, that silicone is a bit different when it comes to working with it and storing it. I’ve had to buy some polyester heads (usually used for keeping wigs) so that they hold their form during storage, otherwise the folds cause (possibly permanent) creases and appear to gradually cause the material to melt!

Also I posted an 18 second video with the two hoods I now own and in a matter of days it became my most popular post I’ve ever created (on that account anyway. We do not talk about the ridiculous success the puppy shitposting account somehow achieved). What can i say, drones love these hoods

There’s gonna be a lot more of those posts too (including a very silly unboxing video) as I did promise Furrjoi I’d post quite a lot in exchange for them sending these over! Oh no. What a shame.

New Videos

In hindsight, this idea is obvious :: buy an arm holder for my tablet so we can have it in shots to display progress bars and the like. I’ve now filmed a couple things with it in the shot and also posted some pics with it recently!

Some of these videos have been very experimental, so I am hopeful for them but with this approach comes increased risk that they won’t work out. At the very least, if I don’t get full videos I will still get some very cool clips!

This start to the month has been exceptionally busy. I’ve been making things faster than I can edit them, which is why there’s been a momentary lapse in posting as I’ve been so exhausted from the sheer amount of creating that I’ve been up to. Thankfully this week is free from that, so I can spend this time actually making sure the edits and the posts get done!

New T-Shirt

This is something I have been on and off working on for the an entire year. I just really wanted to get the design perfect before releasing it.

I know some people have been catching glimpses of this t-shirt, just because I had to order so many samples that I’ve been giving away to friends/partners every time I get a new print.

Kobold Stuff

Okay I may have got a bit carried away with this one, but on Twitter and VRC I am now formlocked as a small kobold drone until early December.

Not much to say regarding this one, other than I sure did do it to myself.

Minecraft Plugin

HexDrone 2703 has been working on this for a quite a while, and gosh is it incredible. It’s a Minecraft plugin (not a mod, so you can add it to your Minecraft server and not have to worry about it making the game harder for others to join in on) and you can grab it off the HexCorp Github here :: https://github.com/HexCorpProgramming/HexCore 

This will, admittedly, require a bit of knowledge over how Minecraft plugins work in order to setup, especially as it will require you to set up a database. But once you get it going, it replicates a lot of the functionality of the Discord bot, such as enforced drone IDs, battery levels, status codes and corrupted text!

Possible Brainwashing Vid V2 in the works!

Just this Friday, the credit of the original video, one Bass Canon, reached out to see if I’d like to help make a V2. Given the original is like, 4 years old now, and uses a lot of old photography, I am very excited to work on a significantly improved version!

We’ve just entered the formulation phase, so I don’t know when this will be completed… but it’s exciting nonetheless!

Subtember Retrospect

Subtember is an event on Twitch when creators get a significantly larger cut of the revenue, which means we’re really encouraged to run our own events in order to boost that sweet sweet engagement!

I’m really happy with how it went this year, it allowed me to buy a new bed (which looks identical to the old bed only this one isn’t in immediate danger of collapsing and killing me suddenly) and also there’s a few silly, smaller events I now need to host as part of the rewards for this.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined in and contributed! I’ve just really been enjoying how the streams have been going recently, regardless of if they involve dronification or not. It’s just the perfect way to start my day before I commence my tasks (like writing monthly updates like this!)

Website Inventory

This was an idea that came up with my set with Nadya, where we wanted to have a QR code on the tablet to really play into the set concept. I wouldn’t have been content with such a QR just linking to the site, so instead an entire system for drone management and database organization has been created to facilitate this!

Okay that’s probably enough for now! There’s a couple other projects in the pipeline on top of all this, but gosh there’s already enough stuff here so I better at least save some stuff now next time!
