Happy Goo Year!

With the new year here, I thought I should make a post about my hopes and resolutions going into 2025. First of which (Besides spending less time in hospital this year!) is to return to regular art posting again and try to rebuild my socials, focusing on Bluesky now that twitter has crashed and burned.

I also want to push harder into the comics this year, I really like making them and I want to get to know the characters more through them as well as introduce some new ones.

Emerging

After what seems like an age I'm finally getting back to my normal self again. Huge thanks to you all for sticking around while I was out of action, I can't tell you how much it means to me!

I'll be posting a video of the process of drawing this one tonight after work and I'll be trying to get back to my normal schedule as soon as possible.

Animation progress

Dabbling a little more into the animation process with the sadcat dance. Obviously there are a lot of versions of this dance online to imitate so it was a bit easier than doing something from scratch but it was a good learning exercise.

I kinda threw the intro pics together last minute before I'm heading out on a trip home but I think it gets the job done 😅

Lunar new meh.

I tried for a while to make this Year of the Rabbit Mirko piece work, but I'm not really feeling it and I think it's time to shift my efforts to other stuff that I am feeling so I won't be posting this publicly. Putting it up here in the interest of showing you lovely people what I'm up to, the good and the meh 😅

The animation is coming out quite nicely though and I have more comics, fanart and OC illustrations on the way soon as well.

Which storyline do you want to see first?

I have another comic strip that I'm working on now, but after that I want to have a go at a multi part story line. The two ideas that I'm toying with are some "origin" stories for different members of the group.

The first idea is exploring more of exactly what kind of creature Nuru is by having them get into Aimee's spells and summon more of their kind, leaving Aimee and Rose to deal with the chaos that follows.

Getting 2023 started!

Last year hit me pretty hard in terms of health and the slow down of my creative output, but I'm going to be starting up the monthly goals thing again going into this new year and try to get back to form as fast as I can.

September goals and OC poll

Fell a little short of the goal last month unfortunately, mainly because my living situation fell apart a bit (literally in the case of my building's water pipes) so I have been looking for a new place to live. I'm also going to be staying with a friend for the next week and a half while the water gets sorted out, so it might be a slightly lighter art output this month as well depending on how well I can manage a work setup over there.
