A quick status update.

Those on Discord may have seen the recent drama with a spate of reported bugs for the latest Alpha/Beta versions.

As it turned out, someone took the Alpha build and made their own Android version, which they set loose on the interwebs.

I won't get into the piracy debate other than to say the amount the game brings in correlates to the amount of time I can spend working on it, assuming I want to eat and keep a roof over my head.

Luckily or unluckily, depending on your point of view, the unauthorized Android build introduced a load of game-breaking bugs. It did take time debugging the game and endlessly trying to reproduce the error to determine the bugs didn't exist in the official version.

Whether people who downloaded the broken Android version knew they were downloading a pirated version and the bugs only existed in the pirated version, I don't know. Hopefully, they enjoyed what they played enough to support the project.

I've added channels to the Discord server to clarify the latest versions and ask people to check these before posting bug reports. Not everyone will read that before posting, but they can be directed to it when posting bugs.

This has taken time away from working on the update, but the scene is progressing. While the scene is primarily an interaction between Max and Teri, Samantha makes an appearance toward the end. The extent of her interaction is determined by Max's affinity level with her.

There is a possibility this scene is the player's first interaction with Teri. This is a problem for several characters as there needs to be a suitable response from a character when it's your first time encountering them. I may add smaller mini-interactions with various characters on the main path to handle the first interaction, as dealing with the possibility in every scene adds an extra overhead I'd like to avoid.

Similar to what was done before, there will be another question-and-answer session with Kimberley. Keep an eye on Discord for a Kim Q&A channel where Patreon members can post questions. The whole Discord community will be able to vote on which questions will be put forward.

Currently, this will be limited to one question per member.

Any offensive, Patreon TOS-breaking, or duplicate questions will be removed. Remember, you'll get a stupid answer if you ask a stupid question. Patreon members who are not on Discord can submit a question via Patreon, and I'll post it on Discord on your behalf.
