A quick status update.

Those on Discord may have seen the recent drama with a spate of reported bugs for the latest Alpha/Beta versions.

As it turned out, someone took the Alpha build and made their own Android version, which they set loose on the interwebs.

I won't get into the piracy debate other than to say the amount the game brings in correlates to the amount of time I can spend working on it, assuming I want to eat and keep a roof over my head.

The posters in the movie theater are real games by other developers. It saves time for developers not having to create fake movie posters and can serve as a friendly way to give exposure to other games.

Translations

An experimental build for testing French and Simplified Chinese translations has been added to the Beta branch.

These are only partial translations, encompassing the main game interface, the in-game tutorial, and the first four scenes of the game (Mom, Karla, Catherine, and Victoria).

Once you pass these scenes, the game interface will remain in your chosen language, but the character dialogue will revert to English.

As previously mentioned, in the boutique scene, Max uses the ruse of enlisting fashion advice from Patricia to get her and Melanie talking. This means Melanie's, and to a lesser extent, Patricia's measurements are needed. Daz has a tool to measure characters, so that isn't an issue in itself.

Mothers and Daughters update V6.1

Version 6.1 is now available on the live branch.

This version includes 6.0 (morning events) and 6.1 (afternoon events) for playable day 6, Wednesday.

This is a quirk with how the college events work, with them either in the morning or afternoon based on player selection.

If you helped Samantha at lunch on Tuesday (v5) and volunteered to be Dean Stuart's intern, you'll be summoned to her office during the lunch break.

Affinity

Affinity is the primary stat for tracking a woman's interest in the player.

I implemented this as a percentage system to give the player more flexibility in how to play the game. A rigid point system would have meant carefully tracking the points available and potentially locking players out of later game content if they missed points for a particular girl earlier in the game.
