Group Events
Added 2022-01-24 00:35:09 +0000 UTCA group event, as the name suggests, involves a group of people. These events are special and will be different from regular events involving multiple characters. The events are mandatory and will involve several precursor events beforehand. How the player deals with those events will affect the main event.
The exact game mechanics of group events haven’t been finalized and are subject to the amount of time and effort required to create the event.
The first group event will be a movie night with several characters at the mall theater. A mandatory event with Natasha will occur on Monday afternoon.
Max knew Natasha when they were younger until her parents moved away. You will either meet Natasha at an optional event on Saturday or in English class on Monday morning before the group event precursor.
During the Monday afternoon precursor event, she explains that she needs to watch the new movies to check all the equipment is working. At first, she found it great, but the excitement of having an entire movie screen to herself quickly wore off. Her boss is quite laid back and said she could have a few friends join, providing they are discrete. Having only recently moved back into the area, she is a little short on friends.
Other precursor events will involve asking other characters to attend. Not everyone you ask will want to attend, but you need to ask the relevant characters to achieve bonus relationship points for the event.
The idea of a group event is to mix multiple characters who might not otherwise speak with each other. This is where the players ‘persona’ could have benefits or consequences. If you pursue one girl as a bad boy, but another as a nice guy. What happens when you have to talk to both girls at the same time?
Also, depending on relationship stats some characters might not take kindly to seeing you flirting with other characters. You’ll need to work the event and play your options carefully.
Events such as Kimberley’s yoga class, college courses, or college activities are not group events. Whilst they do involve a group of people, they are regular events with no special precursors. You also can’t work the room in regular events in the same way as you would with a group event.
