Real story:
By order of the queen, Lilith's expedition sets out to find alternative energy sources.
Lilith scans the planet's surface and discovers strange clumps of energy in underground caves.
It is likely that these caves contain a large cluster of crystals, which are likely to be useful for creating energy batteries.
Unfortunately, the energized air of the cave prevents Lilith from using the capabilities of her body.
Extraction of the crystals was not difficult, and in a few hours all the containers were completely full.
After successfully extracting the resources, the expedition heads to the exit, but on the way they are attacked by strange creatures.
Lilith's armed guards easily suppress the threat with their ray guns and take the living specimens with them for further study.

Use of powered cutting equipment and heavy machinery and not a shred of PPE or even hard-wearing jeans in sight, it'll be no surprise when *something important* gets chopped off.
