Regarding Unzipping Issues & Update 0.255
Added 2020-05-02 02:51:46 +0000 UTCWe noticed comments indicating that a small number of players are having difficulties decompressing the game file in split .zip archive format and do not have utilities such as 7-zip installed.
We don't want to force you to install anything besides the game itself on computer so we are going to launch an emergency release 0.255 tomorrow in the form of self-extracting zip file packs, with all known in-game bugs and issues fixed.
The reason why we split the .zip pack was that the game's size has surpassed Mega's daily download quota (4GB). We decided to drop Mega in 0.24 release for the aforementioned reason, but some patrons have expressed frustration over the lack of Mega links so we added it back.

Oh right, Steam is more relax on full uncensored adult content now. I even see young looking characters on some adult games listed there, too. Looks like they're okay with it as long as the developer say they're all over 18 years old, haha.

I'm a cloud/devops engineer and I would recommend either google cloud platform (GCP) "Cloud Storage" or Amazon Web Services (AWS) "S3". Cloud Storage or S3 are object storage platforms that won't give you the trouble user level stuff like the above will. There are no download limits/restrictions, you get actual links you can distribute to your community, actual granular permissions, versioning, etc. There's also Azure storage options from Microsoft, if you swing that way. https://aws.amazon.com/s3/pricing https://cloud.google.com/storage/#pricing

Obviously this isn't an issue for something like FD, but its given me pause for thought about a service I'd considered one of the 'good guys'.

2020-05-02 05:58:14 +0000 UTCIf there was ever software people SHOULD be forced to install, 7-zip has to be it... and while I'm here, I presume folks here are aware of Mega deleting accounts lately? Modders from the Illusion games Discord have had their OWN work erased by Mega with no excuse offered and their accounts pulled. So yeah, Mega ain't any better than WinZip it seems.

GOG uses it, and makes setups that have the main exe, and a bunch of bin files that contain actual data. They usually split them at around 4 GB (the file size limit of the FAT32 filesystem).

Mega, is being painfully slow, Google give me corrupted files, Baidu is a hack paradise, and MediaFire, much like the old days, sits down and passes out. Broken links are broken. 4g is a large file size, but I would be accepting of a Torrent if it meant a clean and easy download at this point.

2020-05-02 03:32:53 +0000 UTCfor my issue; I was using googledrive instead of mega or mediafire and 7zip couldn't unpack their versions correctly. Re-downloading from mega and both packs had no issue combining during unzip procedure. If you are having trouble with one source, just try another and see if that works.

I checked and noticed I was using a really old version of 7zip. downloaded and installed the newest version, then I had no problem extracting the files for the game. so check your 7zip version, its probably out of date
