Progress Report Part III, Dr.Anya and Next Generation Hair
Added 2019-12-17 04:08:11 +0000 UTCAs we initiated the modelling work on the two new heroines, Dr. Anya and Galatea, we took another step forward in our effort to create triple A level art assets with consistent quality. By utilizing in-house grooming tools and rendering solutions we are now able to achieve an unprecedented level of hair fidelity in the project.
We have started researching real-time dynamic hair strand simulation to make authoring of believable waist-length hair possible - instead of stiff hair cards, you will be able to see each hair strand waving and flying independently.

Great job with the new R&D milestones! Its always a welcome sight to see a company willing to push the boundaries on what can be achieved with the latest next generation technology! I am looking forward to seeing free flowing dynamic hair that is not in a bone rigged ponytail. Also on my wishlist of next gen tech is, dynamic butt cheeks using physics, similar to what you have achieved with the new breast physics. -- *cough cough* For science of course.. :-3

After that it's all back to "good" old textures, meaning that there's zero variability and thus the dynamic aspect just fizzles out immediately. Or am I missing something? I'm exclusively playing in VR, if that makes a difference. Also, I 100% agree, Kittyboo.

2019-12-18 14:08:54 +0000 UTCThis is what they said when they released operation love craft: In the Paralogue we aim to fix all the issues we pinpointed but was unable to address in the base game of Fallen Doll (some of the problems were too deep rooted hence overhauling it basically equals to rewriting the whole framework). For example, the genitals are now fully collision driven meaning no clipping will ever occur, additionally the cumshot and sweat/skin rendering solution were also remade from scratch in the Paralogue. It's still in a relatively crude state with many features missing, but I have no doubt that you will find it impressive.

I'm still hoping for this push to the next generation. Great to see you explore what's possible with current technology and not stick to the standards from the early 2000s as adult gaming has done for the most part until now. I hope this project keeps being a spear head for pushing the boundaries as it has been so far with topics like detail/realism, vr integration and community input. I'm looking forward to what's to come in 2020. Keep it up! P.S.: On that note, more frequent updates like this are really nice. Sometimes you might think you haven't achieved enough to warrant an update, but I, for my part, appreciate every little tidbit of news. And it doesn't even always have to have perfectly rendered pictures to show. I bet I'm not the only one who would be satisfied with news that are more on the technical/coding side.
