RPG Map Maker - Milestone 1

Hello, one and all!

For the past couple of months, we've been working hard with our team to rebuild Phase 1 of our "RPG Mapmaker". We are back to square one now, with the bonus of having spent significantly more time on the UI design and tailoring it to the tools we'll be introducing.

Next, we've started work on the Path tool, which will be introduced this month. The system is significantly more advanced than what I've worked with in the past. It's easy to draw and tweak on the fly. Later, this tool will also interact with the terrain tool, making it easier for paths to blend into the environment and automatically adjust based on the parameters of crossing elements in the environment.

From a UI standpoint, we're also ensuring it feels pleasant to interact with. I also plan on restructuring the Discord soon, so that we can make room for a decent channel to get any feedback for people using it as soon as we release our updated demo. There are a lot of balls in the air at the moment, and I'm taking them on one by one.

For the next couple of months, I'm also looking to team up with a few other familiar D&D map-making faces and convert their assets to this tool as well. I plan to make videos for social media, showcasing the new tools as soon as this next tool is ready for general testing.

WILD RIDE

This last month has been a particularly wild ride. Not just because we've been expanding the team and coordinating a lot of back-and-forth to ensure everyone is up to speed, but also because we've expanded our team here at home! Our daughter was born in May, so between all the excitement of working on this project, I also took some time off to spend some quality time with our baby girl.

It's been a wild ride. Having to start over at the beginning of this year took quite a toll on me, but the way this project is progressing now has me excited for the next couple of months. Thank you for all the fantastic support. As mentioned before, everyone who supported this project will receive a full copy of the tool as soon as it is released.
