MapMakers Contest - Win your own asset pack!

Hello, one and all!

For a long time now I've been wanting to expand my gallery of user-made Battlemaps on the website. The original reward I had set out for this was to get access to some bonus content for anyone who made a submission, the only issue being I was starting my team projects and had little time to get to updating it.

Now that the Team project has started to run a bit more smoothly, however, I'd love to return to this project with a much better prize for submissions!

I would like to organize a monthly contest, where you submit your maps and I make a selection of my 10 or 20 (depending on the number of submissions) favorite maps, all of whom will get access to bonus content one tier above their current one. For patrons of the top tier, this bonus content will be a printed copy of my latest adventure (I've put together a team to turn my one-page adventures into a short magazine).

 Now from this selection I will create a poll here on Patreon and whoever gets the most votes from said selection, will win the first prize:

You'll get to choose a personal theme, with some minor details to what assets you are looking for specifically for the next month. This idea was originally started as a bit of a goof on Discord where user Xandr was dubbed Crab Lord for his asset requests about crabs, and I decided to do a little themed asset pack around it (Underwater Assets (more coming soon! Including Crab homes!)

The pack will also include Custom Tokens, like these Crab tokens I did:

It could also include themed Magic Items and possibly be turned into a themed adventure magazine. If it does you'll receive a free copy of said adventure as well.

Plus you'll be added to the Hall of Champions on Discord, with a title to go with the theme you picked, like our Crab Lord Xandr.

DETAILS

In short, the winner of this contest gets to pick a theme. 

(ex. You'd like to see infernal assets with a focus on building a demonic stronghold)

What you'll receive:

-Custom assets that go with the theme (you are free to go in more detail in the asset requests, but I reserve some freedom to build widely useable maps)

-Custom tokens that fit the theme. Here I will allow you to make some more specific request for 1-4 tokens.

-Possibly some Magic Items with art 

-Possibly a printed copy of an adventure magazine, I design with the theme in mind.

MAGAZINE

I'm currently working with a bunch more artists to get this running, the goal is to have a monthly release, and we are almost ready to release the first in this series (see the main image of this post). If we can pull it off I'd love to include some of your themes in these magazines as well!

FIRST CONTEST

This one will run from today (29/10/21) to next Friday (05/11/21). It's basically one for all the mapmakers who have already made maps and would like to submit them (or anyone who can find the time to create some in a week.

You'll find the submission form in the DUNGEONDRAFT section of the site or just CLICK HERE for direct access.

This contest has no theme!

SECOND CONTEST

This one will run from Friday to the end of November. It will be a nautical-based contest, I'd love to see as many fantastical ships that you can think of or anything else that fits the theme (a base by the sea, or in a swamp).

If you do a submission add your PATRON  USERNAME (for tagging) and possibly your unique Discord username, to make it easy to find you there. Any submission made before next Friday will be part of the First contest and after for the Second one.

I'd love to have a nice big gallery of usermade maps that you all can navigate, I hope this will be a fun contest to draw people into sharing their creations to be part of said gallery.
