Now that I’ve watched this again I have a few thoughts. The whole seen with the biker stealing the baby was clearly inspired by Mad Max which I hadn’t seen the last time I watched this. I forgot this was the Coen brothers, so no wonder it’s funny. My god Holly Hunter is great, my hometown is full of women who act like her character. When I was in school, one of my friends told me to watch this, the line that cracked him up the most was “Son, you’ve got a panty on your head!!” So I immediately thought of that, when you had a similar reaction. I love the fact that Nicholas Cage unapologetically channeled Elvis in his early roles. Raising Arizona, Wild At Heart, Con-Air. these would all make a great Nick Cage film festival.

This was the Coen Bros second film and really helped to cement their style including unique dialogue and high energy wide angles and edits
The cartoonish humor in this is awesome
I 'm glad you enjoyed it as much as you did Coby ❤️🖤❤️🖤😄🤘.

Coby, not sure if you read this stuff, but I just have to say I RELISHED seeing you discover Holly Hunter's amazing breakthrough performance. She did "Broadcast News" the same year (which is what she got nominated for), an amazing movie, highly relevant to the present day, amazing acting, script.....I so hope you get to see that one day, if not soon! ..totally naturalistic performance. She was the next "new teaching" and inspiration for actresses since Meryl Streep had come on the scene in the late 70s. ****. Early Nicolas Cage is the best! Definitely watch his first movie as Nicolas Cage: Valley Girl! His third movie, "Birdy", very underrated. And for Coen Brothers.......I agree about Burn After Reading! Frances McDormand is in all their best films: Blood Simple, Raising Arizona, Fargo.....and Burn After Reading! Anyways, FANTASTIC reactions and commentary. Your face when Holly Hunter started bawling "I love him so much!", I started laughing my ass off, lol! I watched that part of the reaction twenty times or something, lol

I hope you will react to another Coen Bros. film -- "Burn After Reading," 2008. One of my favorites.
Want to get this on your radar... Have you watched the Australian movie "The Dish?" A charming, intelligent movie based on real events. Stars Sam Neill and Patrick Warburton. July is good timing for this one.

Can’t wait to watch this when I get home. This is another great movie Coby. I’ve really enjoyed the choices lately. Nic Cage is great in everything, and John Goodman, and especially Holly Hunter, are so great here. She’s so great in this character. It’s great to see her in a comedic role. The characters are so quirky. This is such a hilarious, and endlessly quotable movie.
Though this is one of the earliest Coen Brothers movies, it’s still my favorite. Holly Hunter is especially amazing in it. This is my favorite comedy movie ever made and easily in my top 5 movies overall.
