Wow Coby, that was intense!! You are not overreacting, this movie is exactly the way you described it. So raw, and real, and visceral. I’ve wanted to see this for a long time, because I’ve always been a Ewan MacGregor fan, I think he’s one of the best actors around, and this performance more than proves it. The whole cast was great. But it could be so hard to watch at points, that baby scene was horrific, and in a lesser movie I might have stopped watching at that point. But this was just so brilliantly done. I liked hearing you describe the cinematography. I’m bad to stray off topic, but I feel like you’ve probably seen The Velvet Goldmine?? You should if you haven’t, because I think you’d like it. Of course I’m an Iggy Pop fan, so I liked the opening scene with Lust For Life playing. This movie is going to stay with me for a while. Such a cinematic masterpiece.

I'm not missing premieres on purpose, I promise, lol. The 6pm CST is difficult for me, so I am very likely to miss more than I can attend. Just know I'm watching though and I hope everyone is have fun during the premieres!

It was this movie that actually convinced me way back in 97 or 98 that Ewan would be a good Obi Wan! When they announced the cast for Phantom Menace I was not sure about the casting but Trainspotting put me over the top on it. Been a fan of his ever since!

This will certainly spark a lot of discussion , yes it's an intense watch for those who only know Ewan Mac Gregor from The Star Wars prequels this will be quite a shock to the system .
This is quite the cult classic some scenes really sear themselves into your psyche .
it's a hard watch but i really loved it .

Saw this in the theater and didn't ever revisit it until lockdown a few years ago. That's when I learned that seeing it once is enough.

This is a great movie, but I've only watched it a couple of times because it is a TOUGH watch! The baby scene -- oof!

Hi Coby, I know you seem to like the Black and White Film Noir movies. If you want to watch the best, please check out "Laura," a real classic whodunit.

Yeppity yep.... I'll be there.
I can handle it. I'm very brave.... so brave that once, I watched the toilet scene at the same time I was eating my dinner.
