Yeah, this was funny. I'd never seen this before, but I had seen the documentary on 48 Hours, and I believe it was titled the same as Pain and Gain. But if I remember correctly, the true story was more violent, believe it or not. I'm always up for a movie based on a true story. Please keep them coming, Coby

I have to assume that was very loosely based on the true story. Kidnapping and torturing bad guy (Adrian) gets married and Coby coos with excitement at the sight of the couple, LOL!

- Author Elmore Leonard was living in Florida in the mid 1990's. The Sun Gym case was the inspiration for his book (and the following movie) "Out of Sight" (1998). He likes to use characters from other books for continuity, Michael Keaton played the same character (Agent Ray Nicolette) in "Out of Sight" as he did in the movie "Jackie Brown" (1997), which was based on one of Elmore Leonard's previous books, "Rum Punch".
- Composer Steve Jablonsky also did the score for other Wahlberg true story movies: "Deepwater Horizon" and "Lone Survivor"

This has been the one for the last decade I always point to to say "The Rock is actually incredible, he just keeps picking crappy projects!!"
Same thing as Out of Sight for JLo... the alternative versions of their careers could've been awesome.

I think I've seen this, though I can't quite place when or where. Something familiar about it though.
