CLUE (1985) - Full Watch Along

This one was an absolute blast! Played the game as a child… no idea they made a movie! My Spinal Tap, Rocky Horror, What’s Up Doc and Pippi Longstocking worlds combine!!! Reaction highlights to be released on YouTube next Monday August 25th! 🖤🔎

CLUE (1985) - Full Watch Along

Comments

Coby it was crazy that in the theaters you only got one ending, depending on the theater you went to. I was only able to see two ends in two different theaters. Did not see the 2nd ending until the DVD release which included all three endings. So much fun

My friend and I were watching pippi longstocking back in the 80s and at one point she washes a floor by strapping sponges to her feet. We ended up on the hardwood landing of his big staircase and absolutely soaked it with soapy water to try this ourselves. In case anyone is wondering, it's a lot easier to slide around with bare feet than with sponges.

Hey Coby, since you seemed to really enjoy this, I'd like to recommend Deathtrap (1982) and Murder on the Orient Express (2017 and/or 1974). (I quite like the 2017 remake.)

Damn Coby, you were a busy gal last night. 4 uploads while I was asleep. Can't wait to dive in to clue! Then I'll cry with you, over hachi.

The VHS did have all three endings like this but the DVD I had could be set up to randomly play one of the three endings

When I saw it in theaters i got the last ending if I remember right

I was a teenager when this was released in theaters. Each theater showed on of the 3 endings. I saw it twice. First, Mrs peacock’s ending and then the actual ending. You’ve also seen Madeline Kahn in Young Frankenstein Loved the reaction, as usual

Aw, I love Clue. In theaters they would have a random one of the 3 endings, but it didn't do well until home media where it became popular. I forget if the VHS version had all 3 versions, but the DVD version later certainly did the way you watched it. The bit about Wadworth's wife being blackmailed for having socialist friends was a nod to the politics of the late 40s and early 50s where one Senator McCarthy led witch hunts accusing many ppl with left wing politics of being communists.
