(Excuse my English, I speak Spanish) Good chapter, the truth is, and a well-deserved fate for Lilith, literally, it gave a lot of power to Gideon who didn't even see the possibility of betrayal. I hope Matt finds a way to rescue his wife, and that both of their lives improve.

2024-10-14 23:47:41 +0000 UTCAh, I see that I skimmed over that and didn't explain well (sometimes it's clear in my head but I don't realize that it may not be clear when I type it out). My own fault for over-complicating the plot! I wanted to jump ahead in time and move the story forward, so many weeks have passed between Ch. 9 and Ch. 10. The way I see the chip working: even if Annie "wakes" Matt up and tells him truths about the real him, the chip will slowly work against it and make him forget. It's like swimming against a current. However, it works much better and will "hold" if he gradually deprograms himself by discovering the truth himself instead just being told. So, she's helping him to do that. I'll include some clarifying details in Ch. 11.

Janey had been lost for weeks in this chapter and just come back where in the previous chapter it just been what 2-3 days since Gideon put her on warehouse? Hope we got a flashback chapter that explain what actually happened during the missing days

And also Matts reaction when all of them first meet. His love transformed into a fetish secretary and the toy of his rival. Will Gideon be "professional" about it or will he show her off to him. Further mark his territory so to say. Really glad you're back! P.S. Up until now Gideon made heavy use of the chip. Although I get it that at some point it simply isn't necessary so much because all of your commands are given and in place I would love to see the chip still used. Like you did with "doll mode" etc. in previous chapters - some things where Janey is still surprised why she did something or that she is aware she did something but has no choice than to obey anyway. Or just so Gideon can use her to humiliate Matt a bit.
