Cyrus and Atticus WIP

One of the reasons ive been shaky on doing illustrations with Atticus is because he's got a pretty complicated pallete. Ive been trying to figure it out personally on a few test pages.
I trieeeed to do something interesting with the shading as seen in the second image but it wasnt coming out as planned. Luckily, I work on thick paper and have a quill pen that I scrape the top layer off and can redo the color. He's now looking wacky better. Just cause a peice is traditional doesn't mean mistakes ruin the piece! In fact, I think all that scraping added an extra texture that I ended up favoring!
