Testing out Kaylee with G8 vs. G8.1
Added 2022-08-02 02:40:29 +0000 UTCIn both images Left is G8, Right is G8.1. I wanted to test this but I don't think I'll be switching over.
First image: a test of G8.1 with Kaylee's textures. The difference in detail is pretty negligible; Aside from extreme close-ups of the eyes I doubt you could tell the difference. Not much of an upgrade!
Second image: I applied a texture made specifically for G8.1. While the extra details with the skin are nice, and the G8.1 skin shader is more realistic, it seems "off" somehow and just doesn't really look quite like Kaylee.
Really my main takeaway with this is that I need to find a sunset HDRI that isn't so monotone, the subtle lights really bring out the little details.

To be honest the left one is better but it's so subtle that I wouldn't look too much into it
