Extended Preview: WIZARDS OF THE LOST KINGDOM. Re-released, now in Widescreen HD!

Nine years ago we released a take on Wizards of the Lost Kingdom, the NOT-Star Wars movie about a whiny kid wizard who takes on an evil empire. And, sadly, it wasn't in the catalog for very long before we had to take it down for reasons which are, like the kingdom itself, lost to the sands of time.
Huzzah! Fear not, for I have good news that comes in two!
First: we have upgraded the video from SD 4:3 (cropped) to HD 16:9 (widescreen)! (Yes, we did have to delete the one joke about the print being "too dark to see anything" since, well, it's all very nice and crisp now.)
Secondly: if you already purchased the SD version during the brief window it was originally available, you can upgrade to HD for a measly $2.

When you originally released this it was on my birthday so I bought it immediately, so I was one of the happy few got it before it was removed. Glad to see it back (and hope for a RiffTrax version of the sequel). Now I have to weigh the choice of getting a better quality picture of a crappy movie to losing a single joke…🤔

2025-09-22 18:40:31 +0000 UTCI'm glad this is back. I'm all caught up on Rifftrax with the exception of a few VODs they lost the rights to before I had the chance to buy them. This was one of them. Now it's just a matter of waiting till the others come back.
