Talkin' RiffTrax: OUIJA SHARK

Each year, the nature-based "reality" networks band together for Shark Week, and for that, we're forever grateful. Whether Richard Terry has ever attempted to find and then wrestle a ghost shark remains to be seen; so until that happens, please enjoy Mike, Kevin, and Bill talking about our recent entry Ouija Shark, which we released back in May.

Enjoy! You can download this video here.

Talkin' RiffTrax: OUIJA SHARK

I missed this post. I loved the line "Whether Richard Terry has ever attempted to find and then wrestle a ghost shark..." Laughed my head off.

Hapless Old Man

The X-Files _wishes_ they thought of it first!

An astute observation!

Thank you! I clearly remembered a terrible movie with sharks coming from the toilets, but I couldn’t remember the name of it! Thank you for restoring that critical piece of knowledge to my brain.

Bob Hedges

I've seen it before, too! The horrible car washing scene was the only thing I could remember. So poorly done, even Wiseau could do better.

Emily Brown

WHAAAAAAAAT?!? I need to see this!!!

Emily Brown

I really don't want the fact glossed over that the idea of a toilet shark is truly terrifying 😧. Hilarious if it's not happening to yourself, though, haha.

If you want toilet sharks, you should see (you shouldn't see) Ghost Shark, that had toilet sharks from memory...

Jamas Enright

I’ve seen this in the wild and was hoping it would eventually be riffed. I’m voting not a movie on the grounds Bill explained: there are indeed moving visual things to observe and ponder, but their assembly into something coherent lacks the nuance required to be a movie. “Baby Ghost” is a movie, and this cries out for a thespian and comedian of the caliber of Joe Estevez to help movie-fy it.

Bob Hedges

I watched this with my teenaged daughter and she thought it was crazy. Haha.

Hal Phillips

There is a "Ouija Shark 2". It's, er, "more ambitious" I guess, with ape men, a bad doctor strange knock off, Canadian Hell, and at least one musical number. I fell asleep part way through. And no, it does not provide an origin story for the planchette. I guess we'll have to wait for Ouija Shark 3.

zirujauak

"Ouija Shark 2: Origin of the Planchette"... I can't say I'd watch it but it probably has more intrigue than this movie ever did.

Jordan Jepson

You did indeed, make it funny. Happy shark week! If you can, go watch Tommy Wiseau's new "movie", Big Shark! 🦈
