2025-08-17 10:52:19 +0000 UTCI finally got to watch this, several days later than I originally intended to (life got in the way). I enjoyed the reaction very much. This is a remake of the Transformers TV series (1984 – 1987). Peter Cullen was the voice of Optimus Prime in the TV series and reprised his role in this movie and the sequels. Optimus Prime's body language and movements were modelled after Liam Neeson. This film holds the record for the biggest opening week for a non-sequel, with $152.5 million. The former record holder was "Spider-Man (2002)" with $151.6 million. The Movie Series: • Transformers (2007) • Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) • Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011) • Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014) • Transformers: The Last Knight (2017) • Bumblebee (2018) • Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023) Transformers One (2024) is a spin-off of the original TV series.

I'd agree with your score of this movie, and like to add that there is a nostalgia aspect for those of us that grew up with the toys and cartoon
