There was quite a bit of critique on the image included with the Light of my Life coming soon teaser, and rightly so. Apart from mapping out the scenes for week 1 of the game, building sets and browsing for fonts, I've reworked the models a bit.

The look I'm trying to go for is very much a girl next door look (with in this case a hint of the exotic). To me that doesn't mean a photo-model without makeup in daisy dukes, but someone whom you might have gone to school with, or works at your office, or that lives next door. That means flaws and peculiar features, but I'm trying hard to stay on the right side of the freak line, and I hope I'm getting closer.

Above, placeholder name Macy (you can customize it in game, as well as how they address you, your nickname etc.) is an angry rebel/BTGG. Why she's so angry is for you to find out.

Above, placeholder name Denise. Awkward and shy. She needs help finding her place in the world.

Finally, placeholder name Charlotte, your late and dearly loved wife. For now she's just a photo on a table but she might appear in a flashback or two.

So, these are not really finals yet, and I'd love some feedback while I'm busy working on writing dialogue, creating HDRI's from my sets and finishing up some additional characters you will meet in the game.

Here's all three of em in another quick and dirty render to show the difference a bit more. They're supposed to, eh, share a common background, so the resemblance is intentional.
