Report: Regarding participation in a doujinshi event + future work production

I'm planning to participate as a circle in the "Nikuket 14" doujinshi event, which will be held on February 15th, 2025. I'm currently still in the lottery, so if I'm not selected, I'm thinking of having サラダ味 (Salad Taste) in charge of my things. If neither of us get selected in the lottery, I'll think about it after we have a laugh.

I'm currently in the process of producing a doujinshi. I've finished a draft of the text and I've made the character sheet, so all that remains is to draw it, which I plan to do. I plan to produce a finished work that is like something between a storyboard and a clean copy. I'm planning for it to be printed using a photocopier and bound, rather than having it bound from a print shop.

If I'm not able to complete it in time, I'll print and distribute a bound copy with pages that I had managed to draw up until the day prior and pages that I hadn't been able to draw with draft text, in the form of a "in-preparation issue," with a download password included. Later, after the work is completed, I will distribute the pdf and zip via download, using the password provided in the "in-preparation issue." In the event I participate in Nikuket 15 after completing the work, the remaining "in-preparation issue" will be distributed as a download ticket.

I do not plan to sell the completed work on a digital download marketplace until after Nikuket 15 being held this year.

I intend to change my existing doujinshi production system in the future. If a work isn't completed in time properly, a copy of the work-in-progress as of that time will be bound, announced, and distributed in the form of a "in-preparation issue from which you can download the finished version." Of course, if I do make it in time, I will distribute the finished version.

The reason for this change in my production system was that I ended up putting myself in a state of physical exhaustion every time in order to get the work completed on time, and I'd have to rush to complete a clean copy in a panic. Because of that, I felt like, "If this continue on like this, I won't be able to relax and have fun drawing! First and foremost, if I can't do things in a state mentally and physically where I can actually cherish the work itself before the event, it's really tough on me." Which is why, even though I can't help but feel like I'm turning my back on those who try to complete the work before the event date, I am tossing aside the honor of completing the work before the event. I'm sorry.

2025年2月15日開催の同人イベント「にくけっと14」にサークル参加予定です。

現在まだ抽選中なので、外れたらサラダ味に委託しようと思います。2人とも抽選から外れたら笑った後に考えます。現在、同人誌の製作途中で、テキストの下書きも完成して設定画も作り、後は描くだけの予定です。

ネームと清書の間のような完成度の作品を制作予定です。

印刷所の製本ではなく、コピー機で印刷したものを製本する予定です。

もし完成に間に合わない場合、ダウンロードパスワードを記載した「準備号」という体裁で前日まで描けたページと描けなかったページのテキストの下書きを印刷して製本し頒布します。後日、作品完成後に「準備号」に記載したパスワードによるダウンロードでpdfとzipを頒布します。完成後に「にくけっと15」に参加した場合、残った「準備号」はダウンロードチケットとして頒布します。

完成後の作品のDL販売は今年開催の「にくけっと15」が終わるまではしない予定です。

今までの同人誌制作体制を今後は変えるつもりです。

作品を予定していた所までちゃんと完成させる代わりに間に合わなかったら

「完成版をダウンロードできる準備号」という形で、その時の制作進行状況をコピーして製本、発表もとい頒布する形式にします。

もちろん間に合えば、完成版を頒布します。

制作体制の変更理由としては、完成に間に合わせるために毎回、身体をしんどい状態にしてしまったり、慌てて急いで清書するという具合だったので、

「このままだと、落ち着いて楽しんで描けんぞ、うちは！まず自分がイベントの前に作品自体を愛でれる心身状態でやれないときついぞ」となったからです。

なので、イベント開催日までに作品の完成を目指す人に背を向ける感じになってしまいますが、イベントまでに作品を完成させる誉は捨てます、ごめんなさい。
