Story Time: That Sinking Feeling
Added 2022-04-25 22:30:56 +0000 UTCRecently I was amongst a group in my friend’s garden, I sat on a metal bistro-style chair that looked like it wouldn’t hold my weight very well, however that wasn’t the issue this time. Suddenly, I felt my seating position becoming lower and lower, the chair was sinking deep into the soil! It wasn’t wet, and the grass was dry enough to lay on, there was nothing I could do except hope that nobody noticed. Later on, the group decided to move all of the chairs to the patio area, unfortunately someone got to my chair before I did, and the guy had a confused look on his face after he went to pick it up, the chair hadn’t actually lifted off the ground! He gripped it firmly with both hands and tried to pull it out as if it was a giant weed, the chair was pulled out after a few shuffling motions… all I could do was watch (and I did secretly enjoy it) I never actually knew that I could be so heavy that I force something into the ground with my weight. Maybe next time I’ll sit on a blanket 😂
