Behind The Spotlight Chapter 13

While Collin and Wyatt were having conversations, Lila Seraphina managed to get a deal from CBA Network. One of the major television networks in the United States.

Talent Agencies had different means of making money. However, their most effective business deal was called a Package Deal.

ANT, as one of the largest talent agencies in Hollywood, made money by signing a deal with production studios and TV networks by completely taking a whole project.

It meant that in that single project (Movies/TV series), the whole cast, directors, producers, and production crew were from a single agency. This model was common in Hollywood.

Agencies could negotiate a deal that would benefit them the most. Sometimes hiring less popular cast and directors to manage the project while maximizing the profit.

The less popular cast didn't mean that they were not talented. Hollywood was filled with talented people who failed to achieve opportunities.

In a way, the studio just needs to pay money and the agency would take care of the whole production.

This method had its cons and also had its pros.

The benefits were that the preparation for looking for the cast was less time-consuming since the agency usually has a complete roster for that. They also didn't have to hire people since the agency already prepared everything. It was fast and easy.

This time, Lila successfully closed a deal for a new TV series. All they needed was the investment, and the project would start the pre-production immediately. ANT had writers, directors, producers, actors, and actresses to quickly fill up the jobs. The benefits of a package deal.

After leaving the TV Network, Lila received a call from William.

The woman weakly smiled and answered it.

"You signed the contract? That's amazing, I didn't know they would agree that fast. You're lucky they gave you a chance."

Working as the CEO of an agency, Lila Seraphina was obviously good at lying.

Lila knew that a rich kid from Silicon Valley like William had no idea how Showbiz works.

William was the 8th son of Ellison Edward. William had 16 siblings, and 15 of those were his half-siblings.

Ellison Edward was a genius and a billionaire but he was also a playboy. He had so many kids from women. He also stated that only one of his children would inherit Database Giant, his biggest property. He would give it to his most talented child.

Because of this, his children started competing against each other. Some successfully started their own companions, breaking through other industries outside Silicon Valley.

William was one of the youngest and he was also interested in proving himself. Unfortunately, he didn't have a sense of business dealings. He was also in high school, so he didn't have the power to compete. It didn't help that his siblings were doing their best to prevent William from becoming successful.

The kid's monthly allowance was $1 million and that was already small compared to his other siblings.

This time, Lila "helped" the young guy by convincing him to invest in Wyatt's project.

She said that Wyatt was a promising director who was sought after by many studios. His movies would make millions at the box office. Wyatt was an eccentric director and he didn't like it whenever his investors tried to fight for more benefits.

William might be rich but he was still young and lacked the connection to help him investigate Wyatt's profile.

The year was 1995 and people couldn't just search for someone's background on the internet. They require private detectives to do that job.

William decided to believe Lila and quickly invested in Wyatt's movie without too much thinking. The young guy did his best to act inch while talking to Collin and Wyatt. He even tried to brag that $300 thousand was just his allowance.

William probably thought he made a great deal.

Lila lightly chuckled after ending the call. Today was entertaining.

......

...

"Don't act so excited, you don't want to be disappointed again."

"Shut up, you don't know it but I have given three lines in this movie! Of course I can't help but be excited, this is a big break for me."

Jennifer Sarandon sternly said to Collin, her agent. She had been Collin's client for three years, however, she had been in Hollywood for a decade now. She was 28 this year.

"Of course I know it, you kept saying it to me for months. Besides, I'm the one who helped you get into this movie."

Collin replied.
