Hollywood What If Chapter 155

The car sped up, Cameron Diaz was blushing as she looked at herself in the pocket mirror. It seemed that she didn't need to put any blush on because her cheeks were already red. 

She grinned and couldn't help but remember what happened last night. Kazir might be drunk but they way he stroke was satisfying and breathtaking. 

Honestly, she slept peacefully after that. It was already late when she woke up. The thing was that Kazir already prepared a breakfast for her. 

If there was one thing dissapointing, Kazir said straight that he was not ready for serious relationship. Welp, couldn't be help then... But she would definitely visit him once in a while. 

She wanted to stay but she had a filming today. The filming of Charlie's Angels started two weeks ago and she had three scenes today. 

Cameron Diaz smiled as she looked at the apartment building for the last time. She didn't expect this meeting but she didn't regret it either.

"Charlie's Angels..."

Kazir Grey raised his mug and sipped his own brewed coffee. He recalled what happened a few years ago.

'I tried to buy the copyrights but Colombia Pictures didn't agree.'

Sony-Columbia was facing trouble keeping their status in the Big-Six. They need a strong franchise to keep the company going.

Charlie's Angels was a television series owned by Sony-Columbia and it had a good reception back in the 70s. It would be insanity to sell the copyrights. And even if Sony-Columbia wanted to sell the copyrights of of Charlie's Angels, Grey Pictures didn't have enough funds at that time. 

The sure way to profit from movies was by doing movie adaptations. Novels, comics, tv series, and such. The fans on these platforms were already formed so there was no trouble getting audience. These fans were ready to buy tickets just to watch the movie adaptations of their favorite novels or comics. 

Charlie's Angels had that factor. So Grey Pictures failed to get the copyrights. 

Well, not all things would go according to his plan. He was just a director. 

What happened yesterday was terrible too, he was just a person who got affected by his mother's hurtful words. If there was one thing he liked, that was having fun with Cameron Diaz. 

'I didn't mean it, but I guess I'm still a guy.' 

Indeed, Kazir Grey is just a simple man. He feels pain, happiness, sadness, and pleasure. 

"The world doesn't revolves around me..."

He sighed. Being a man, he knew that he was going to make so many mistakes no matter how much he tried to prevent it, such was the life of a man. 

All he could do was faced the obstacles and overcome them. If that was not enough, he had to destroy them so that they won't come back. 

'I wonder if I have the strength to do that.'

He stood up and went to the shower. His legs were quite shaking after a long exercise last night. 

'It's a good thing I never skipped leg-days.'

It would be a lie if he said that he was not depressed. He was fucking depressed. His mother basically told him that she hated his existence based on the name she gave him. 

He didn't know what happened to his mother, but she sure was not a good person. He won't sympathize, not after what she did to their family. 

'And yet she has the audacity to talk to me about helping her daughter, wow.'

The water poured on his body, cooling his mind. 

That day was just like no other, he attended a meeting about the promotion of John Wick at the Paramount headquarters. 

Their conversation was going well when Kazir Grey and Brad Grey received a text message at the same time. 

"Open the television!"

Brad Grey announced. 

On the screen, a reporter spoke about the recent happenings in Hollywood.

There, the two Greys listened as the reporter gossiped about the relationship between Kazir Grey and Cameron Diaz. 

The pictures were on the screen. Even though the resolution was not good, anyone recognized the two. 

"Kazir... Are you dating Cameron?"

Brad Grey asked. This situation might be good or bad. He thought Kazir Grey and Reese Witherspoon were in a relationship. 

If this situation turned bad, then it might affect the performance of John Wick that would be released one week from now. 

"We are not dating. Something happened last night and things went that way."

"Care to explain?"

"Sorry, it's a private thing."

Brad Grey narrowed his eyes. 

"Then do you expect Paramount to invest in your movie now? What if this scandal turned big? It will affect John Wick!"

Paramount would never invest in a movie that would bring them negative profit. 

"I know... I have an idea."

Kazir didn't like this kind of hype promotion but it seemed that he didn't have a choice. 

'Now I'm starting to realize that I'm not that strong at all. One mistake can cost me my career.'

"I'll contact Cameron. Maybe we can use this situation for our good."

"Alright."

Brad Grey nodded. 

"What about Reese Witherspoon? She's not going to cause us trouble, right?"

"We made our relationship clear from the start. We are just friends, I believe she will not be affected."

Kazir stood up and opened his phone. It was a good thing that he exchanged contact with Cameron Diaz. At least he could call him at this moment. 

-- Hello? Kazir, thank God. I heard what happened. Is this not going to affect your movie?

"Cameron, can you do me a favor and meet me at the Paramount headquarters. Please take your agent, I want to talk about business matter."

He hated the idea of using love to hype up the promotion but it didn't mean that he won't use it. 

'Hehe, I'm fucking hypocrite.'

Well, he is just a human after all.
