Calix roared and disregard his broken suit. His weapon turned into an assault rifle and started shooting bullets toward the suspicious two. 

"..."

The Archbishop was dumbfounded at first. When she heard that Lucky T. Tiko risked his life just to find her, her heart started going crazy. She felt elated, happy, and complete. 

However, she realized that Lucky never would have thought Oni Chichi was actually the Archbishop of the infamous Council of Torment. 

The fact that Calix started firing bullets was enough to understand that he never recognized Oni Chichi's real identity... Which might be a good thing. Because once Lucky realized her true identity, he might hate her instead. That was something Oni Chichi didn't want to happen. 

"Hm, I don't know what's going on but I guess I have to stop these upcoming tiny metal arrows."

The Demon King nodded. She instinctively summoned her weapon. A dark energy enveloped her and it transformed into a formless blade. 

The blade was menacing, like the embodiment of destruction. 

The Demon King swung her blade and the bullets turned into dust. 

"Tch, as expected, this woman is dangerous. My bullets are made of pure energy yet she easily destroyed them. She is not ordinary, especially when she activated the Blood Moon for a few seconds."

He was still bitter over the fact that he hurt the DemonGod Minokawa. It didn't sit well with him even though the creature was an Aberrant. He received help from the Minokawa. 

"The Archbishop is in trouble! Help the great Archbishop."

The followers gradually returned. They were excited after knowing that their lifelong mission was accomplished. 

They witnessed that glimpse of Blood Moon and it made them realize how powerful the Demon King was. The person who almost annihilated the entire world. The God Slayer! Demon King!

"Seriously, I feel like I'm not lucky at all!"

Calix gritted his teeth and started firing his bullets with no remorse. He witnessed how these followers killed the sacrifices. He was actually scared that Oni Chichi was one of the sacrifices. However, he could not recognize her corpse so he was still hoping that the woman was alive. 

'My instinct is telling me that Oni Chichi is here! I have to find her!'

"Get out of my way! I will fucking massacre you all!"

His bullets flew around and pierced many people. He was alone in the middle of this ancient battlefield. 

"Hm, this person is interesting. He is having a resonance with me." The Demon King felt something about the man. 

"Great Demon King? What do you mean?"

"I don't know... But I want to try something."

The Demon King raised her weapon and swung it down. The dark energy flew into Calix. 

"!!!"

Calix sensed the danger. However, he didn't have the chance to evade. So he decided to stand still. 

Fortunately, the energy blade only grazed his cheek. He evaded it in hair's breadth. 

"... I dodged that?"

He asked himself. He thought he was going to die.

"As expected, that person resonance with me..."

The Demon King muttered. As if she met someone she recognized. However, she didn't have any memory. She could not remember anything. Only her feelings and instincts were present. 

'Who am I?'

A question that she could not answer. She had an idea that this certain Archbishop knew the answer. However, she felt like she would not be satisfied with it.

"Where's Oni Chichi? Bring her back!"

Calix rioted and killed the followers in the process. He was raging. 

As for the Archbishop, her eyes could not leave Lucky. Her face was blushing under the hood. She felt very hot. So much that her body was longing for Lucky. 

'If you are looking for me... Then why did you not accept my love? That kiss. It means a lot to me.'

She thought. She clenched her fists and said. 

"Bring this man alive! I want to see his face!"

"As you wish, great Archbishop!"

The followers yelled in madness and started bombarding Calix. They were going to tear his limbs, enough to make him stop. 

"Fuck you!--"

Suddenly, a black flame almost rushed at him. Calix jumped up and evaded the deadly flame. 

'If not for my senses, I might have been dead.'

His back was sweating. 

"... I was trying to hit him, but he dodged it again."

The Demon King narrowed her gaze.

"Then, I guess I have to do this."

The Demon King released a shockwave. The shockwave didn't affect them but everyone felt the tremor.

"... She is calling the Aberrants."

Calix immediately understood. 

'I swear, this situation keeps getting worse! Bad Luck!'

Left with no choice, Calix used grenades to cause a disturbance. 

The ground formed craters as the explosion arise. However, the upcoming Aberrants were not affected. 

They continued and rush towards Calix.

'The only way to end this is by defeating that woman. However, I can sense a terrifying power from her... I need to find a way to kill her.'

Calix started evading the monsters. Most of the Aberrants that heed the Demon King's order were Dragon-class and DemonGod. They were terrifying existence even in the human dictionary. 

Still, Calix successfully dodged them and gradually injured them. He was actually surprised that he could fight DemonGods. 

'It's really strange. His movement is predictable and he doesn't have a great speed. Yet he can dodge the attacks of many monsters. This person is really something.'

The Demon King didn't sense any danger so she decided to play with Calix for a little while. For the first time after the long slumber, the Demon King slowly regained her curiosity.
