I've been teasing that we've got a new guest artist making some contributions to Lord Goblin - I can let slip now that these are from Sommelier, whose work you might know from games like Seeds of Chaos and Jessika's Curse!

This scene doesn't go in a lewd direction, I should say in advance to contain expectations; instead this is an important piece of the Az'ea/Lord Goblin back story that you'll discover when you pursue her romance path.

The scene's not animated, but I've been working on zooms and pans to spice it up a bit, based on the system we've been working on for other scenes that you might have seen in the latest release.

Working on the scene

It was good to have Sommelier's help on this one, because while I had a distinct idea of what the scene was, it was a little hard to picture how to do it with a single piece of art. I had also considered trying to do this primarily with the character sprites or something like that, but it just wasn't very practical. I think in the end we came up with something that works really well for it.

There will also be at least one more piece coming from Sommelier - after that we'll have to see because he's busy and in demand, but I hope to have more to show soon!
