He really needs food like spiders in general, but he is different because apart from eating, he makes his body by stealing from other spiders. After getting the body he can hunt as usual. The way to eat it is quite unique. He smears his body fluids onto his prey and absorbs the prey like slime. However, the way it catches its prey is the same as spiders in general. His body wasn't like a slime which was weak against fire and until now he couldn't find out what his weakness was. If you encounter this type of spider, you should run away or later you will become its prey. And on average the prey is female because body fluids for digestion are only sufficient for women
