Sun Goddess and Moon Goddess Masks

Here we have Noelle wearing the Sun Goddess and Moon Goddess masks! She’s not part of their main story, but she’s always the perfect lil guinea pig to use~ The masks will be part of a bigger story in the future, here is their backstory:

This is the backstory for the Moon Goddess Mask: Long ago, there were two goddesses, one of the sun, and her sister of the moon. The sun’s beauty and grace were unmatched, shining brighter than any being and lighting the way for those on earth. The moon however thought highly of herself, thinking she was much more beautiful, but was always outshined by the sun. Jealous, the moon planned to sabotage the sun’s face so she could not shine as brightly. However, the moon’s plans failed, and as punishment her face was ripped off so she could shine no longer, now only relying on the light of the sun to shine down on earth. The moon’s face was then cast down to the land of mortals, where her face now lay out of her reach for others to claim. The part of the mask broken off at the top would be where her face was grabbed and pulled off, and layed abandoned and broken on earth for years, until finally it was discovered. Whoever wears the mask gains the powers of a goddess, able to perform miracles and shape reality to her will, but only while the moon is out. The wearer of the mask acts as if she’s possessed by the moon herself, thinking herself as the goddess, which would lead to plenty of shenanigans~

After the Moon Goddess was stripped of her face, the Sun Goddess felt pity for her dear sister. This all happened because the sun outshone the moon in every way, making the moon feel neglected. So the sun decided to also give up her face to be equal to her sister, casting her face to the earth and remain silent for all eternity, working together with the moon in harmony to bring balance to the world. But their conflict will rise once again when a new generation gets their hands on their faces, reawakening the slumbering goddesses…
