I am happy to present Version 1.2.2 of the TOTK Randomizer! This update adds a good amount of new animals, including smaller ones like insects, to the spawn pool, as well as insanely unique environmental changes. It also comes with nifty changes, bugfixes and optimizations to make the experience even better!
As I mentioned, new animals, including insects, have been added to the spawn pool. From now on, Butterflies, Cattle, Crabs, Fireflies, Frogs, Herons, Moose and Lizards can now spawn everywhere - I'm sure you'll love to have Crabs and Frogs around you. 10 new insanely unique environmental changes have been added by Miru - take a look at the screenshots down below! Rainbow Road in Zelda? No problem! Flame sky? No problem!
As for changes, the Randomizer Cycle can now trigger events while playing minigames with a timer and the Randomizer Cycle speed is now 100% accurate on any FPS and at any game location. Prohibitions are now applied every frame instead of every second, meaning you can no longer bypass prohibitions for a short amount of time.
Randomly spawned animals and enemies now respawn and despawn earlier when leaving the player and randomly spawned Cuccos, Sparrows and Squirrels now spawn closer to the player due to their small size. Randomized animals and enemies are now more likely to spawn when fighting Demon King Ganondorf and the fixed enemies that would spawn when fighting Demon King Ganondorf have been removed for more variation.
Randomizer quest updates are now disabled by default to reduce bloat on the screen and the "Randomizer - Status" quest is no longer influenced by the "Randomizer quest updates" option. A "None" has been added to the Randomizer quests descriptions when no animals, enemies or prohibitions are active to avoid confusion and the chance for special goals to be chosen in Goal Mode has been slightly increased. Also, the chance to obtain Yiga set armor pieces has been increased if you got goals regarding the Yiga Blademaster Station which requires the full set.
As for bugfixes, a bug has been fixed where the Randomizer information windows at the top right were overlapping the Rupee/Poe UI displays and a bug has been fixed where the goal "Visit - Beneath Hyrule Castle" was impossible to complete and therefore the goal has been removed. Lastly, the code has been greatly optimized and unnecessary code has been removed - I can definitely feel the difference!
