[Preview] Upcoming 0.9.6 Features

Update 0.9.6, which releases this weekend, changes the gameplay by adding brand-new features to the TOTK Randomizer we have not seen before in the BOTW Randomizer! From now on, the 15 Skyview Tower Maps are randomized within each other! Activating the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower and unlocking the map for Gerudo Desert? This can now happen! Also, the 12 Dragon Tear Memory Movies are now randomized within each other! Both the movie when examining the tear as well as the movie in the Adventure Log are randomized.

The Environmental changes and Prohibitions have been reworked. Low Gravity is no longer a prohibition and instead there is a chance that it occurs when the environment is changing. Also, a lot of custom environments made from scratch have been added to this update - they look so beautiful - take a look at the screenshots down below!

Furthermore, there is now a chance that a Global Updraft occurs additionally to the weather, climate and visual color palette changes! This will definitely change the gameplay - since the whole world is affected, expect things light enough to fly up the sky! There is even the chance that Low Gravity and the Global Updraft are enabled at the same time, even though it's a low chance but it will occasionally occur.

As for the Prohibitions - 3 new ones have been added: Weapons, Shields and Bows. It's now possible that suddenly your weapons, shields and/or bows are getting temporarily disabled (maximum of 2 prohibitions) - when weapons are being disabled, use bows, or fuse something onto your shield and shield bash or throw strong items or use Zonai Devices against enemies - try to think of other ways killing your opponents! Also with those logic has been implemented so that certain prohibitions are not getting enabled/and being disabled again in certain Temple areas that definitely need them to complete a specific puzzle.

With the removal of Low Gravity being a prohibition, they no longer occur before the Great Sky Island has been completed. Damaging environmental changes will no longer be chosen when activating the cog terminal at the beginning of the game since you have no items to heal at that point yet. The Randomizer Cycle options that were introduced in v0.9.4 now carry over different save files while being in the same game session.

Paused events such as receiving items no longer occur while being in a Flurry Rush to avoid that the action gets cancelled. The chance to obtain Elixirs has been decreased and the chance to obtain other Food has been increased. The chance for random teleports out of nowhere to occur has been slightly increased.

Lastly, a bug has been fixed where you would swim down a waterfall after swimming up when a paused event such as receiving items was triggered while swimming up. And a bug has been fixed regarding environmental changes when players used the Cog Skip glitch at the beginning of the game.
