Hey guys, it's been a while! I try not to post unless I have stuff to talk about but it's strange how not posting for a couple of weeks feel like forever in internet time.

Anyway, I have some important updates! First, I've decided on a soft deadline for my Rhea fan VN which is on June 10, 2022. This means I'll release whatever I finish up until that point. Whether it's a 5 minute long intro or 30 minutes long, you'll have something on your hands to play around with.

I'm doing this mainly because I really want to put it out there. There's the perfectionist part of me that wants to make it as perfect as possible, but I think that really just an excuse to procrastinate and delay lol :P

Next important update! I haven't talked about this before but I had issues with lineart consistency but I finally figured out a way to fix it! I struggled with lineart for the longest time and it's even more noticeable once I started working on the VN Sprites so I had to fix it one way or another. To cut the story short, I figured out a set of brushes and techniques that mostly fixed my inconsistent lineart and here's the result!

Don't know if its noticeable without more context or examples but it's absolutely noticeable to me lmao (basically the lines should be even across the board not just on sprites but also on CGs, I know I don't have a CG example but you get what I'm saying) I absolutely had to fix this or its gonna drive me insane. I'm sticking with this process until the end because I think this is passable and this process took way too much time. It's time to move on!

The three sprites above are the most important sprites for the story and since they're almost done, I can finally move on to the CGs (or event illustrations for those unfamiliar with VN terminology). Yep, its time to draw Steamy-Sexy-Mommy-Pope-Dragon-Sex UOOOOOOHHHHH 😭😭😭😭😭 After what seems like forever, it's finally time draw the meat of the story ^^

There's so much more small stuff to do (sprite expressions, UI stuff, extra BGs) but CGs are the most important visual assets so its great to finally start on those!

Art is only one half of a Visual Novel, writing being the other half. I'm happy to report that the entire story can be read from start to finish in outline form. Emphasis on outline form - there's very little actual prose in the story but its nothing that can't be fixed with time and effort :P Someone even volunteered to edit my writing so you guys wouldn't suffer too much reading my fanfic lmao.

All in all Rhea's VN (I haven't decided on a name yet, sorry!!) but things are progressing well ^^ I think that's all I wanted to talk about this time. Oh and I needed a quick break from drawing Rhea stuff so I drew Sonya from Fire Emblem: Shadows of Valentia. I actually haven't played her game but damn she's hot. Hope you like it! ^^
