It's... Saturday?

I'm sorry for the delay! Yesterday's afternoon got unexpectedly busy, and when I finally had time to sit down, I found my brain was too tired to string together any sort of coherent sentence.

In any case, last week went so well! I announced that I finished coding Chapter One, and that was the big accomplishment of the week. 😄 I took a few days off writing altogether, but when I picked up the pen on Friday, my mind... took off to other pastures. I was struck with an idea and was inspired to write a few scenarios instead. So, I ended up making some good headway into next month's Patreon side stories.

I figured I'd be productive in a different way, and it paid out because I really like what I wrote so far. 😊

Chapter Two shall have to begin on Monday instead. Starting a chapter is always the hardest part — the first of something seems to weigh the most. The first step on a journey, the first goodbye, and, in my case, the very first word I want you to read when you start Chapter Two. The first sentence, the first paragraph, the first choice.

The day I start a new chapter is always the hardest but also the most exciting. Everything is laid bare before me, and I can go anywhere. The goal for next week is, of course, to write all those firsts and then some.

Since it's the first draft, I can't calculate yet how many pages the chapter will have or how many scenes, so I can't say I want to finish the first third of the chapter, but there's a specific person I want you to get to before next Friday. A blue-haired, gold tooth, lyre-carrying spy. I shall make him my goal.

My Saturday was filled with sunshine, dogs running at the beach, and cold beverages. I hope your day was as happy and fulfilling as mine. 🌹
