This is just a guess. But I've played an MC who absolutely loathed faith. And she thought Hadrian praying was ridiculous. So my theory (just a theory no confirmation) is that they have to be somewhere,and MC finds Hadrian praying again . And then MC makes some kind of mean comment and Hadrian has just had enough. This is just a guess from what I've seen as options in the first book. But I could be totally wrong.
