2024-11-02 17:38:42 +0000 UTCthe thing about toga is that she's not a born psychopath, she literally only wanted to suck blood and when she was a kid, she only suck blood from an already existing wound. she also have asked why to her parents, but her parents never cared to understand her or her quirk, never cared to explain to toga even tho she desperately asked why and was so confused. the reason why toga ended up the way that she did is mostly because of her parents so that's why i really felt sad for toga because this and the previous episode really show how toga could've been saved, how toga's heart is simply misguided

Idk, except for Toga before chapter 20, I did feel bad for almost all of them, mainly Toya and Shigaraki. Not saying that they deserve redemption, but I do get they're tormented characters. I don't know, I'm not personally attached to Toga or anything but I did feel bad for her. She had a good chapter and I'm also satisfied with her ending.

I personally didn’t feel very sad watching togas story until she sacrificed herself. I have multiple reasons why but it doesn’t mean that I am not acknowledging that she had a terrible experience all through childhood. It just didn’t do enough for me to have sympathy toward the stuff that followed those childhood events. Toga is one of the best written characters in the show but you can’t expect everyone to have the same response to her story

2024-10-25 23:19:44 +0000 UTCVery simple actually. Shigaraki’s was irreversible. No possible changes could have been made and there was no other options. For toga as terrible as her situation was 1. There was other ways she could have went and 2. What she was doing regardless of quirk was messed up. Before you come at me for saying that, I am well aware that those desires for blood were influenced by her quirk and I am also aware that the way the teach and her parents handled the situation was low of the low. But everyone else was 100% justified in labeling toga as they did. Ultimately it is the parents fault for not caring enough to see what was going on with her and get her help. But then again she is drinking blood of literally anyone and anything and actually enjoying it. So personally I 100% understand the tragedy of her story and I think she is actually one of the best written in the show. But I too didn’t really feel much sad for her while watching eps20. 21 when she died is a different story

Well i dont blame em, but its the result of not fully understanding the previous seasons because of talking about his own constant "prediction" or quick "assumption" of what the character thinking while missing the dialog for the "actual meaning". He was able to get the toya and shigaraki cus its more a cliche back story thats bad because trauma. Toga whole story with ochako is more in dept and need to pay more attention to understand. Theres ton of comments saying why he doesnt understand toga's story. So i wont be saying much here. Im just sad that we wont be able to actually see his reaction of the toga's story when he rewatch it with live and hopefully actually pay attention why things happen.

Shigaraki was having a hard time even before that, and everything fell apart when he got his quirk. While with Toga, she was never truly cared and understood. That's the point, she had a craving that was not normal for society but nobody ever tried to understand her. That's what Ochaco tried to do and that's why it was such a good chapter. That's essentially MHA.

Sure its not a weekly series like old school Naruto or Bleach where they had to do "cheap" episodes to pad out the year of production. But like this series looks fantastic from beginning to end! Seven seasons of consistently great art and animation. Is it as pretty as say, Attack on Titan, no but its got its own style to it, very shonen comic-like. I can't wait till the My Hero Acadamia: Final Season, part 1, part 2, Final Season Final Part, and then My Hero Acadamia The Last, and My Hero Acadamia Epilogue Parts 1, 2, and 3, and then My Boruto Acadamia!!

She never ate or killed the bird lmfaooo, she was telling the truth last ep that it was alrdy hurt/dead, she found the bird cute (as a toddler does) and drank its blood cuz that's her nature, her quirk makes her have a craving for blood. The point of Toga's character just like the others in LOV is how society failed to properly nurture them. Toga's parents and everyone around her berated her for having instincts no one else did, villainized it, did not help her understand herself or how her quirk affected her and forced her into a corner where she felt she had nothing and felt jealous. She even felt she lost her identity because she pushed it all down to appear "normal" until she couldn't take it anymore. She could've turned out many different ways, like she had said this episode, if she had experienced what Ochako gave her sooner, maybe she wouldn't have had so much murderous intent. I think Toga is just as tragic as everyone else in the LOV, they all deserved much better.

I was still very nice to have a resolution to her story. I tell you what though. I did not see All Might coming back to the fight in a suit that puts ironman to shame. I love this show! I can't wait for the next season, and to watch it with you.

But yeah after watching the whole series the second time, I also do feel like there were not enough scenes with Toga and Ochako prior to this for more buildup. The Todoroki family arc ended in such a satisfying way because of so much buildup throughout the series to the point where we are very attached to those characters.

2024-10-23 19:44:26 +0000 UTCEveryone in the comments this episode and last episode has been talking about him not getting Toga's backstory (which I don't disagree with), but personally I feel like he didn't quite fully understand Toya's backstory and as a result, the ending to the Todoroki family story wasn't bittersweet in his reaction - he was just cheering for Dabi to die, which makes me think he didn't understand where he came from and what he went through, but it's just anime I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything. We're all entitled to our opinions of course, but I just really hope Nick isn't ok with how Enji "parented" his children on a moral basis. I'd like to think Nick isn't cool with child and spousal abuse, violence, and neglect.

He was groomed by afo from the start to go to that path and honestly with all he was going trough like at age 5 its pretty understandable how things turned out. And calling League of Villains a "psycho group" is a horrible understatement of their characters. Im hoping Nick would dwell deeper in these shows and understand more than the most surface level things but I guess thats not gonna happen in a while.

2024-10-23 16:01:27 +0000 UTCYeah I noticed last episode that he didn’t really understand her character because he incorrectly assumed things about her that were wrong and confirmed as much. He just didn’t pay enough attention when it came to her arc. I don’t know where he got some of his information from about some things like her “eating a bird” for example but he made her out to be a character that she is not and isn’t supposed to be made out to be. If he paid attention and understood her and still didn’t feel much for her then I would not have a problem. But it seems like his misunderstanding has led to him not feeling much more than anything else, which is annoying considering how long it was built up.

As for MHA Shippuuden, originally Horikoshi wanted to write it (like 2-3 years ago that was the original plan), but he got burnt out and got some health issues and stopped mentioning it(already ending the manga was a tall order as he struggled to keep up with the schedule). I think there is hope for MHA Shippuuden, but Horikoshi needs a LOT of rest first, and then maybe...

2024-10-23 15:48:34 +0000 UTCWe're not pissed for you not feeling anything for Toga don't worry, speaking for myself it just seemed like the reason you didn't feel anything is because there were many things you didn't pay attention to and a couple things you said were flat out wrong, like how Toga was born fucked up, or that she used to hurt animals, because she didn't. It's just sad because we as viewers really want people to understand the show because then you're able to feel emotional in scenes like these, it's a shame for anyone to not feel anything just because they missed some pieces of the story

2024-10-23 15:32:29 +0000 UTCMelissa, the girl from the first movie, is heavily implied to have made Deku's mid-gauntlets in season 6 and she made All Might's suit and it was her voice that spoke to All Might in the suit. Her role here and seeing all the characters from the other movies shown watching the fight imply the movies are canon. Deku and his friends formed a connection with those characters and now those characters are cheering for them to win this.

It was never all that compelling until togas final battle, the build up since togas debut was basically third fiddle to the main story and the todorokis. I remember reading the manga and I felt bad but never cried.
