Farah/Felix scoffs so loudly it draws all the focus in the room. “Sorry. I have an allergy to bullshit.”
An accompanying snigger comes from Mason/Morgan.
The team leader swallows hard before making a decent attempt at not being put off by the comment. “What the Detective does or…” their voice hitches, “or who they attach themselves to is of their concern only.”
A poignant silence suffocates the room that even Felix/Farah doesn’t dare to break.
