2023-03-22 16:05:31 +0000 UTCAlso I think it’s much better than OPM but way different, even as far as the comedy goes. No shade at OPM cause I love it and read the manga monthly but GINTAMA just has a lot more layers and depth to it, and the author of GINTAMA is a goat when it comes to storytelling

The only anime that can make me laught so hard my cheeks are hurting, but also can make me cry like my whole family, friends, my girlfriend and my pet died before my eyes. In the beginning it's mostly character introducing and comedy, but the more you watch, the better it gets

Openings unfortunately didnt change my mind and there is like one great, 2-3 good and rest is just meh or bad... But there is so much Gintama in Animelist top shows so it must be good.

It's a fourth-wall breaking comedy and/or parody series (yes, there's a death note episode) which also sometimes suckerpunches you in the kintama with genuinely compelling and heartfelt stories of its own.

2023-01-03 21:26:13 +0000 UTCi think you're the first one I've seen that was actually confused about that lmao, but the character with the glasses is, in fact, a guy. imo, since you like one punch man & mob psycho, you'll DEFINITELY like gintama. the anime is longer and takes a bit to get into (it did for me at least), but it only gets better the further in you go & when it hits, it hits HARD. don't think anyone else has or will recommend these, but one series with really good ops & eds that i never see anyone react to is yu-gi-oh! most people only know the dub versions, so the japanese ops & eds usually get overshadowed, but there's lots of bangers in there! considering there's quite a lot though if you go through all 7 series, 5Ds, zexal & vrains are the best ones imo
