New update

There are some interesting info drops in this update for certain characters. I'm curious what y'all think of it 👀 (feel free to use the spoilery chat btw)

About 14 500 words are added to Chapter 6, and most of it is playable. Friendship routes are still missing. I need to figure out how to continue them because certain things happened that haven't been talked about yet extensively, so I need to somehow comb those together.

Sneak peek 👀

I'm continuing the writing for Chapter 6 this week because I got bored of the edits for the moment. So tomorrow is going to be a new-content update :))) Then next week, I will continue the edits, then the week after will be Ch6 again, and so on. Hopefully, these edits won't take too long now, but I discovered that there are lots of parts in the previous chapters that I completely forgot about lol so it's nice (and useful) to read them back now.

Summer scenarios poll ☀️

For a bit of a change this time, I was thinking to make these scenes more MC specific. So here is what I was planning: you can choose your favorites from the list here, and the first four is going to be selected randomly per MC background. So for example if cooking at home wins, I will pair that scenario with an MC origin (thief, noble etc), and you'll get to read what happens if your RO goes home with MC to cook with the family :)

Status update

I tackled the Chapter 2 edits this week!!! Most of it’s done. There are a lot of grammar fixes and other stuff, but since the code has been changed in many places as well, I will wait with the upload because I realised that if I upload it now, it’s going to make the rest of the game incompatible 😅

In any case, I’m quite bored with the edits for now, so next week, I’m going to write more content for the new chapter. After that, it’s gonna be edits again. So I think there’...

New update

This week, I've been finishing the first round of edits for the first chapter. I caught many more smaller mistakes, and I'm also going to add a few more options there for different stuff. I will write down the whole list of changes once I upload the new files, but I will only merge the edits once I'm finished editing all existing chapters, in one big update :)

New update

Added the Chapter 6 file! There is currently an entire one (1) page written on it (on every romance route though, so that's actually 5 pages from my POV), but the most important thing:

DELETE YOUR SAVES!

Any save made before this point is not going to work anymore because the startup page, the skipping page, and the order of the file loads were all changed, new code introduced, and so the old saves are all going to break.

I spent more time editing this week, but I also added a lot of choices that were missing to Chapter 5. There are still some left to go, but I'm hoping to finish all of the chapter by next week and also start a bit of Chapter 6. We will see :) I only updated the Chapter 5 file now, so saves should still work (if not, try loading them twice).

Unfortunately, I have no idea how much extra words I added because my own files and the uploaded files are not the same anymore because of all the ...

This week's progress

I have done a lot of editing this week on the first few chapters, and added a few more missing choices to the game. This work is not super exciting for you because there is not much new content, but it's a crucial step that's been long coming because the game has passed 600 000 words and it really needs both an edit and an ironing of the code in order to be able to progress into the second half of the game.

I’m in Cairo :) Went to a few places, saw a few cow and goat slaughterings on the street (lol no joke).

What’s more relevant though, the weather is quite cool. There has been a white mist over the city the past few days, which is something I’ve written about a few times in the game as well. One time you released a short story where MC meets a child Ahmose 13 years from the main story. Is that meeting going to be brought up during the game?

Probably not, because I don't think any of them remembers it. Ahmose was only 5 at the time, so they definitely don't remember the meeting, and based on your MC's age, they could also have been anywhere between 5 and 16. The older ones may remember it, but only a noble MC would have recognized Ahmose as a child from the palace. However, ...

Game update and next steps

Thank you all for being patient. Here is the last update before I go on vacation ❤️ The next game update will come at the end of June, or the first week of July. THE END OF CHAPTER 5 IS HERE! Woooooh!

I added the captain's missing scenes this week (priest and thief are still missing), plus, I finished writing the chapter on one string of choices! There are many greyed out options still, which are grey because I didn't write them yet, not because you did something wrong. All in all though, you can play through with any character because I added a temporary choice to briefly turn your MC into a captain or a noble.
