I kinda also thought the cragenwall part up because in one of you other comics it looks more or less like cragenwall was the more prosperous and dominate country which led to modern society. So I figured why stay in a place where you are technically fugitives and go to a place where technically you aren’t wanted but still not completely safe due to bad blood.

Whether it was from the fall or from being hunted down by the dragons or wolves. Another was they lived happily secluded from society either in wolf or dragon areas. And the last was that they find a way to get into cragenwall, obviously not to happy about it but recognize it’s probably the only option. But even if it is relatively peaceful they still aren’t on good terms with one of the hire-ups so they can’t really be super open about their presence.
