Traktor 4 Testing

After a proper play around with Traktor 4 i have found a few issues that i will outline here.

1. Stem deck loading is causing issues with Traktor 4, this issues is known to NI and I would assume this will be fixed on a future update. If anyone has beta access let me know, if there even is a beta active at the moment.

RELEASE - v4.0 - Stem Pads, Pattern Player & Traktor Pro 4 Compatibility

Here is the new update for you all.

Despite not being 100% sure that Traktor Pro 4 is stable after my set on Saturday, I can confirm that the hack is fully working and stable on both Traktor Pro 3 & 4. Sadly, I haven't had the time to get the installer for Mac looked at but I can take a look this week hopefully.

RELEASE - v3.6 - It's Back!

Long time no see...

After endless roadblocks, personal issues and re-coding, it's back. A lot of the things in the 3.8 update broke the hack completely and it wasn't possible to work with that version. After the graphics update in NI's code for 3.10.0, it opened the door for the hack to work again. I have had to code a lot of the behind the scenes files from the ground up and start again at points but I have it working with version 3.10.0 and above!

Release - v3.5 - Pattern Player Display and Controls

Here is the latest update for the screen hack. this version is compatible with Traktor Pro 3.5.0 and above.

Traktor Pro 3.6.0 Compatibility and Next Update

Hi everyone!

I'm happy to announce the latest version of the screen hack is fully compatible with Traktor, feel free to update Traktor whenever you feel necessary. However, If you have the Plus plan, you will need to update the screen hack to the next update  to get full controls of the pattern player (switching from an fx bank to pattern player isn't currently possible on the latest version of the hack).

A new update is coming and important Traktor 3.6 info!

Hi everyone, It's been a while...

My S4 has essentially not left my resident club since clubs reopened here since restrictions ended meaning I haven't been able to work on the hack at home.

As the new update of Traktor has been released, I have contacted multiple NI staff to get some information back regarding code changes in the new update. Until then I strongly recommend that you that you DONT UPDATE TRAKTOR TO 3.6 until I have tested it works correctly.

Over the past few months my workload has increased 10 fold.

The club I have my residency at has reopened and it’s also just been freshers week. I’ve just wrapped up a remix and also have a 4 track ep to work on as well as some wardubs that I have to make. Release - v3.4 - Stem Deck Improvements, Adjacent Key Colouring, New Waveform Colours

Update progress - Stem Improvements

Hi everyone,

The next update is super close and I think the D2 issues should be sorted. I have reverted all S8/S5/D2 files to default. If I recall the only additions I had made to these were Camelot key convert and waveform colouring, these can be added back later if needed.

- Added FX Send controls and enable/disable filter and fx send functions

New Update Incoming - Looking for Testers

Here are the changes that have been made so far for the next update.

• Added adjacent key colouring only mode, can be disabled in settings to re-enable all key colours.

Traktor 3.5.0 and 3.5.1 are compatible!

Hi everyone,

I’ve been super busy with the code recently as well as planning sets and producing an EP so I apologise for the lack of posts!

Due to having some important sets I’ve been playing it safe and kept Traktor on 3.4.x in case of any issues with playback like was reported by some.

I have now fully tested the latest versions with both 3.5.0 and 3.5.1 and can confirm everything is 100% working.

Sorry for the lack of posts recently. I have been preparing for some very important sets and wanted everything to be 100% stable for those events.

I am starting work on the next update today. So far this is what I have planned for this update:

Release - 3.3.1 - New Hotcue Info and Several Bug Fixes

Thanks for your patience with the bug fixes, it seems there were some issues with a few files on the installation amongst other things.

Hi everyone,

The code for the pad type selectors is now completed. Apologies for the delay, the code has been completely rewritten and is currently sat at over 1100 lines of code just for those buttons.

I still need to test through the functions and clean out some of the options in the settings but as long as everything works fine after testing I will get the files released for you.

I’m now working on the code for modifying the pad type buttons to however you wish to have them.

I will get through all of your messages in the next day or two.

From here I’m going to be creating an alternative tone play mode to better emulate a pioneer controller.

Traktor Pro 3.4.1 Beta

Hi everyone,

NI released a new beta version of Traktor to fix a lot of the S4 issues that were happening with the new version of MacOS (Big Sur 11.2).

I’m currently in the process of testing everything now.

So far the cpu spikes and erratic controller functionality all seemed to have been fixed and I can confirm that the hack is fully working on the new version of Traktor.

Pad mode selector buttons

Right, the pad mode buttons customisation hasn’t gone so smoothly. I’ve had to revert back all the work I have done on it and am going to try and approach it from another angle.

Sorry for the lack of replies, i automatically updated my MacBook to big sur and Traktor isn’t running well at all on it. In the meantime I’ve now purchased an iMac for doing all my coding work on, things should now be moving full steam ahead.

Release - v3.2 LITE - Phrase Meter, Prep List Icon and Improved Browser Controls

Updates Tomorrow

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the delay on the lite update, I had my birthday yesterday and have been feeling (very) hungover today 😂

I’ll be back to work on the code tomorrow where I will release a new lite version.

I have also had a bug reported regarding the waveform colouring on the S5/S8/D2, which I believe is due to the settings file not being found properly.

I should have both of these issues sorted tomorrow.
