Strep throat…

POV So you wake up to your kid burning up with a high fever in the middle of the night but they refused to drink anything screaming of a terrible headache and sore throat.

This is exactly what happened to me the last few days.

I instinctively got my phone and called the online doctor (I love this service!) I uploaded this video and was told this is what strep throat looks like! She had all the symptoms. White blister like pustules in the back of throat and red bumps on back of tongue. Complained of Severe headache and really painful throat. This came on within a few hours of going to bed. I wanted to share this with you in case you experience the same situation with your little one.

Always call your doctor for advice and go into to get a throat swab if possible. For me it was next to impossible to drive her myself to ER as I’m practically nightblind. I don’t feel safe driving at night having dry eye syndrome which makes lights very difficult to see through and basically makes me unable to see properly at night when driving. Scary stuff. Thank God there’s online doctors who see us via video chat who were able to diagnose and treat her on a phone call appointment!

I highly recommend finding this service in your area if possible as it comes in handy to not have to cart your family to a germ infested ER environment where they could pick up a dangerous secondary infection like what happened to me recently!

2 nights later my youngest ended up with it too. She even said “ mommy I want to drink my milk (breastmilk) and cried because she couldn’t drink it the suction was hurting her throat so I asked her to wait till she felt better to breastfeed again and have been hand expressing to prevent mastitis but also to allow her to coat her throat with it. Breastmilk actually helps coat the throat to protect and soothe strep throat! We also had her gargle with warm (not hot!) water mixed with Himalayan pink salt and that helped clear up the pain pretty fast! (Always test water temperature before giving your child to gargle as it could cause burning of the tissue if it’s too hot and end up making it worse!)

I have no idea how I avoided strep except by staying positive and imagining being protected by a big bubble that wards off germs! Lol 😂

A few days of fever treated with children’s fever reducers and antibiotics I’m happy to share that they are both on the mend and mommy is still ok thankfully. 🙏🤞💕

Best of luck my beloved mommies and families during this flu season! Stay safe they’re are so many super bugs out there now and lowered immunity from Covid infections that we all must work together to keep our families safe from germs! Wash your hands wear those masks and stay home if you can. With love and gratitude,

The Famous Mommy and family. 🥰🥰🥰
