You may need to wake your baby if they fall asleep at the breast by caressing their cheek from corner of lip to ear gently encouraging the suckle instinct to get a proper feeding. This is most important when your baby is not on solids yet so they get a proper weight gain and all the health benefits and calories they need to thrive!
